The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is a 120,000-square-foot,120-bed, impressively modern facility located in history-rich Clarksburg, West Virginia. The facility opened in 2008 and is considered one of the finest veterans-only nursing homes in the United States.
The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility features private and semi-private rooms, as well as a 20-bed unit reserved for residents in need of specialized care because of Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia.
The innovative design of the facility and the most advanced equipment available allow the staff to provide a full range of care to West Virginia’s veterans. Nurses are available around the clock, and a physician is on call. The Nursing Facility also features a pharmacy and breezeway-connected access to the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center.

All rooms feature full-function hospital beds and an installed nurse-call system. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, cable television, and telephones with enabled long-distance calling. There are four congregate whirlpool walk-in tubs, an exercise room, and a therapy room for residents’ use. Two wheelchair-capable buses are available to transport residents to medical appointments and recreational activities.
