Mike Lyons is the Administrator of the Veterans Home in Barboursville. He is responsible for the care and well-being of up to 125 homeless veteran residents and the programs responsible for helping them return to full-functioning community members.
After graduating from Washington Court House High School in Ohio, Lyons joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a Fuels Technician. He has deployed several times, including a deployment to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Southern Watch and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Lyons has been with the Department of Veterans Assistance since 2004. He is widely considered an expert on state and federal veterans benefit
Lyons is a Veterans of Foreign Wars member - where he was a Quartermaster for Post 3466, the American Legion, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
