Dear friend,

I have always worked to protect and honor those who served our country and I know the importance of providing our veterans and their families with final resting places and lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifice to our nation.

That’s why I’d like to personally invite you to the dedication of the long-awaited Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery on May 28, 2012. The event is on Memorial Day at 3 p.m. at 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, West Virginia. Driving directions can be found at the bottom of this email.

It is a great privilege and honor to pay respect and tribute to the final resting places of the brave men and women in uniform who sacrifice their lives to protect our families here in West Virginia.

We have worked extremely hard to establish a veterans’ cemetery in West Virginia, and I hope you will join me on this special day to give thanks to the men and women securing our freedom and safety.

Driving Directions

FROM I-77 SOUTH *
(Parkersburg, Ripley, Sissonville)
Follow Interstate 77 South to Interstate 64 West
Merge into the right two (2) lanes and take Interstate I-64
(stay in right lanes) Exit I-64 at Exit 50 at Institute.

FROM I-77 NORTH, I-64 WEST *
(Beckley, Montgomery, Marmet)
Follow Interstate 64 West to Interstate 77 North, Travel 77 North to Interstate 64 West Exit I-64 at Exit 50 at Institute.

FROM I-64 EAST *
(Parkersburg, Teays Valley, St. Albans)
Follow Interstate 64 East Right Lane to Exit 50 at Institute.

FROM I-79 NORTH *
(Morgantown, Clarksburg, Sutton, Clendenin)
Follow Interstate 79 to Interstate 64 West Merge into the right two (2) lanes and take Interstate I-64 (stay in right lanes)
Exit I-64 at Exit 50 at Institute.

* Merge into the left lane and make a left turn at the stop sign. Follow Route 25 South to the first available turn on the left (Academy Drive). Make a left turn onto Academy Drive, go to the stop sign and make a right turn. Go past the WV State Police Academy and turn LEFT at the double entrance (with Stone Wall). Follow that road straight through to the round building at the end of the Cemetery.
