From the Desk of Senator Jay Rockefeller
I have always worked to protect and honor those who served our country and I know the importance of providing our veterans and their families with final resting places and lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifice to our nation.
That’s why I’d like to personally invite you to the dedication of the long-awaited Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery on May 28, 2012. The event is on Memorial Day at 3 p.m. at 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, West Virginia. Driving directions can be found at the bottom of this email.
It is a great privilege and honor to pay respect and tribute to the final resting places of the brave men and women in uniform who sacrifice their lives to protect our families here in West Virginia.
We have worked extremely hard to establish a veterans’ cemetery in West Virginia, and I hope you will join me on this special day to give thanks to the men and women securing our freedom and safety.
If you have any questions, feel free to email or call one of my offices in West Virginia. Contact information may be found at the top of my website homepage, which you can visit by clicking here. Also, keep in mind that you can interact with me on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
