Annual Veterans Service Officer's Training Conference
The West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance hosts the Annual WV Veterans Service Officer's Training Conference each year. This annual event is held in coordination with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and all active Veterans' Organizations in West Virginia. The conference is usually held at Summersville CVB facility, located in Summersville, West Virginia.
The Conference is designed to instruct all Veteran Organization Officers, especially Service Officers, regarding their commitment to counsel and assist veterans in obtaining benefits. Conference attendees receive intensified classroom instruction from the US Department of Veterans Affairs employees in the areas of compensation, pension, appeals, personal appearances, vocational rehabilitation, medical and insurance benefits, and State Veteran benefits.
