Our Mission

The aim of the State Department of Veterans Assistance is to obtain for a veteran or their dependants all benefits that they are entitled to and to assist them in obtaining and preparing the evidence that will prove their entitlement. To encourage communities to develop and enhance local veteran services. The Department of Veterans Assistance has 17 Field Offices and 2 Claims Offices located throughout the State to assist veterans and their dependents in filing claims, obtaining medical benefits and applying for educational benefits. We can also assist with representation during the appeals process. These offices are staffed by trained and accredited Veteran Service Officers.
